Healthier and Smarter Kerala 2025

A Year-Round Statewide Awareness Campaign by CBCRD

The Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Rural Development (CBCRD) is proud to announce the launch of its flagship 2025 initiative, titled “Healthier and Smarter Kerala” — a year-long, statewide campaign aimed at educating the people of Kerala on two vital pillars of personal and societal development: health through proper nutrition, and empowerment through awareness of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Vision of the Campaign

In an era marked by rapid technological change and a rise in lifestyle-related health issues, CBCRD recognizes the urgent need to equip communities with knowledge that promotes both physical well-being and digital readiness. Our goal is to inspire a transformation in how individuals perceive food, health, learning, and career planning — starting from the grassroots.

How the Campaign Will Work

Starting July 2025, the CBCRD team will travel across all districts of Kerala, partnering with schools, colleges, community centers, and local governing bodies to deliver these awareness sessions. The sessions will be conducted in Malayalam and English, ensuring accessibility and practical understanding for all participants.

Participants will receive educational material, resources, and access to follow-up support where needed. The campaign is designed to spark curiosity, encourage self-care, and promote sustainable, forward-looking thinking in every home we reach.

Focus Areas

🥦 1. Eating Right, Living Well

Through interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and community engagement, CBCRD will educate the people of Kerala — especially students, parents, and educators — on:

  • The importance of balanced, natural, and preservative-free diets

  • How diet and nutrition directly affect energy levels, immunity, mental clarity, and long-term health

  • Making informed food choices using local, sustainable ingredients

  • Improving quality of life through simple, natural food practices

🤖 2. Understanding AI – The Future Is Now

In the second leg of the campaign, we aim to demystify Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the general public and students by highlighting:

  • What AI is and how it’s already present in everyday life

  • How students can use AI tools to learn more effectively and creatively

  • Career opportunities in AI-related fields and why early awareness matters

  • The ethical and responsible use of AI technologies
